Background Information On This Website Redesign Project
A fun aspect of this project is my personal connection to Pioneer Pole Buildings.
I actually worked on a construction crew at Pioneer Pole Buildings years ago while attending college. I had not thought about them for a while until I was attending an event and saw a person who I used to work with at Pioneer Pole Buildings. As we were talking about the buildings he had been working on, I realized I hadn’t checked out their website and their construction marketing for a long time. Pioneer always amazed me while in college. They never invested in search engine optimization but primarily focused on branding and sponsorships.
The best way I can describe their marketing (until now) is traditional marketing and content marketing, combined with extremely effective branding and dirt track racing sponsorship. They have successfully ruled the Pole Barn market through this approach. There could be case studies written around their marketing strategy simply because it does not seem like it should be as successful as it is.
Checking their website on SEMrush it appeared they had a massive loss of web traffic at the start of 2021. This was due to losing their old website a few months prior. Seeing how much their traffic and rankings dropped I reached out and contacted them to provide a professional construction website redesign. And the rest is history.
Redesigning Pioneer Pole Buildings Website
As I mentioned the PPB website had crashed and they quickly replaced it with a single web page site. This left me with very little to work with. Luckily the old website could be accessed through the Wayback Machine. This gave the website a core/foundational structure as well as original content. The content I added and created is SEO optimized. The combination of the two will lead to a very powerful website that will grow in the rankings over the next few months.
In the time it took to redesign the site, the single-page site lost a lot of value and domain authority as well as keywords. I look forward to seeing this website’s rankings in a year. If they invest in ongoing SEO, their website and business will see monumental growth.
